10 Weird Beauty Tricks and Hacks That Actually Work

Eye shadow in your hair? How about beer? And Pepto Bismol on your face?

These may sound like something you’d do after a few glasses of wine, but they’re actual beauty hacks! And do you know what’s better? They actually work!  Yes — using charcoal on your toothbrush or eyeliner on your eyelash curler are both amazing ways to change your beauty routine! These 12 tips may sound weird, but they work. How many will you try?

1. Root Fix

Using a q-tip or brush, dab some eye shadow to your exposed roots for a quick on-the-go fix when you haven’t had time to dye your hair yet.

2. Dryer Sheets

Don’t have a dryer? You should be buying dryer sheets anyway for your hair! To secure flyaways, just rub a sheet on your hair and style how you want!

3. Oh, Baby!

For long, full lashes, apply a layer of your favorite mascara, then coat your lashes in baby powder. Once every lash is coated, apply a second coat of mascara. When you’re finished, you’ll have gorgeous lashes!

4. Hot and Cold

Heating up your eyeliner will make it glide on like liquid. Freezing it will help keep bits from flaking as you apply it.

5. Think Pink!

Applying a mask of Pepto Bismol to your face gives you tighter skin and a nice glow!

6. Beer Me!

Other than the fact that your hair might smell a little bit like beer, this wonderful alcoholic beverage strips away all the buildup in your hair and leaves it super soft. Just massage a cup of beer into your damp, clean hair, leave it for five minutes, then rinse!

7. Olive You!

Want to remove matte lipstick and smudge-proof eyeliner? Just massage olive oil over your lips and lids!

8. Two in One

Draw some eyeliner on your eyelash curler and dress your eyes at the same time as you curl your lashes!

9. Alternative Solution

If you run out of shaving gel, grab your conditioner! It works in the same way to keep that harsh razor from scratching your skin!

10. Berry Good!

Grab some strawberries and rub them on your teeth before brushing. The acid breaks down stains and gives you a whiter smile!

Woman Gets Pregnant By Eating McDonald’s…OMG

Eating McDonald’s gave me TRIPLETS! Vegetarian who was told she would never have children gives birth to three babies after turning to a daily diet of meat.

1. This Vegetarian Gave It Up For McDonalds

Laura Dixon, 34, was a lifelong vegetarian until she decided to change all that to have a family. Because of this she has had a real issue with fast food restaurants, particularly McDonald’s.

2. This is Laura and Tim Dixon

Laura had had a very hard time getting pregnant. She had been trying for 10 years and attempted IVF but nothing worked. Her doctors advised that she increase iron, vitamins and protein to help her chances of getting pregnant. She finally became pregnant. She suffered a miscarriage when she first got pregnant, so this time she was going to be extra careful.

3. She Gave Up Vegetarianism During Her Pregnancy

Out of the blue, she began having extreme cravings for protein. ‘But then my hunger kicked in and despite never eating meat, I craved it. I ate about six meals a day,’ she said.
‘It all seems like a blur now. I just remember the cravings were so strong that I would wake up in the night and make my husband go and get me a McDonald’s.

4. McDonald’s Is What She Needed

Her favorite snacks were the fries and chicken sandwiches. She just couldn’t get enough of the fast food and was eating from McDonald’s up to 7 times every day after her first trimester. She fell in love with the Egg McMuffin and the breakfast menu as well.

5. She Suffered From Endrometriosis

Ms Dixon was diagnosed with endometriosis and polycystic ovaries which doctors told her would stop her getting pregnant. Endometriosis is a condition which causes cells from the lining of the womb to develop outside of the uterine cavity. It causes pain and, often, infertility. Polycystic ovary syndrome is a common condition that affects how a woman’s ovaries work. It causes cysts to develop in the ovaries, stops the regular release of eggs, and causes the body to produce high levels of ‘male hormones’ called androgens. She underwent two laparoscopies in a bid to correct the problems but both were unsuccessful.

6. After Her IVF Success Doctors Noticed Something Different

Upon visiting her doctor for an ultrasound, they heard the baby’s heartbeat. Then, they heard two more. After testing, she was told she was giving birth to triplets! Two identical boys and a girl. Medics believe Mrs Dixon’s protein boost will have contributed to her successful pregnancy.

7. McDonald’s Get The Dixon’s Seal Of Approval

Laura thanks McDonald’s chicken for the protein. She gave birth to triplets in her 35th week of pregnancy through C-section.

8. All Three Children Are Healthy And At Home

The triplets, now 14 months, were allowed home from hospital just two weeks after their birth. They seem to be healthy and doing very well.

9. Nutrionist’s Confirm That The Protein Boost Helped

Nutritionist Jo Travers, who runs The London Nutritionist, said: ‘There is a lot of evidence that women experience taste changes throughout the pregnancy, which in turn can alter their preferences as they progress through the trimesters. With her lack of protein for so long, it is evident that the consumption of such large amounts have been an aid in her carrying three babies full term’.

10. Ronald Gets The Seal Of Approval (For Once)

Since becoming a mother, Mrs Dixon has continues to go to McDonald’s – but has reverted to her vegetarian diet and only has a veggie-wrap and fries. She says she will let the kids eat there when they are old enough, but only the nutritional foods like fruits, salads, and wraps.

Hilarious Letter Stuck To Vending Machine Goes Viral – Everyone Understands Why

When you think about all the capitalist evils in the world, vending machines have to be quite high up on the list. Eager to take your money with their overpriced sweet treats, there is nearly always an issue when it comes to delivery or payment.

We all know the hollow feeling of the machine rejecting your solitary £1 coin, as well as the rage-inducing moment the machine opts to only half-release your bag of crisps. In short, vending machines were probably invented by the same dude who made the claw machine in arcades. Evil.

While in their barracks’ laundry room, a reddit user found this note taped on a vending machine recounting a particularly upsetting incident involving a honey bun.

At first, people found the whole thing funny and joked about the note

3 4

But then, other’s waded in to share their own stories about their time in the military

5 6 7 8 9 10

There was me thinking that my vending machine anecdotes were hairy… these military men have got it real bad! If I had to live on a staple diet of machine snacks I’d probably be going on a harrowing rampage with a baseball bat right now – smashing vending machine glass left, right and centre.

As I said before, these things are pure evil.

Texas Man Found Eating Teenage Boy In Haunted House Attraction

TEXAS – Fright junkies discovered more than they bargained for at a haunted house attraction over the weekend, when they stumbled upon what they thought was part of the show. The Fright Night Haunted Dreams attraction in Austin, Texas brought in hundreds of people looking for a good scare this Halloween season. But on Friday night, this “Haunted Dream” maze turned into a reality for one teenage boy.

Eyewitnesses say they were halfway through this macabre haunted house when they came across a scene with a crazy looking man biting into his victim that lay in a dirty bathtub. At first, it was just another scene within the haunted maze, but as they looked closer they saw the young boy that was screaming for his life was really in excruciating pain. For one witness, Paul Callaway, it was much too real. “I don’t think I can put into words what I saw. It will haunt my dreams forever,” said Calloway. “This sick ass man bit into this dude’s arm and I could literally see tendons being pulled out. The screams were unlike anything I had ever heard before. This boy was in some serious pain. I mean imagine being eaten alive!”

According to reports, once the group of fright goers realized this was not part of the haunted house, they decided to take action. Mike Sullivan, a Texas gun owner with a concealed weapons permit, said he had no second thoughts about taking action immediately. “I unholstered my weapon and drew on this creep,” said Sullivan. “I got about one foot away from him and shot him once in the leg, and again in the shoulder. Just enough to make him stop until police arrived.”

Police and emergency response teams arrived on scene within minutes, but it was too late for the young teenage boy who’s name has not yet been released. He was dead when medical staff arrived. We do know that he was a 17-year-old from the Austin, Texas area. Officers took 28-year-old Philip Harris into custody where he is currently being held without bond in solitary confinement at an Austin, Texas jail under the close supervision of officers and medical staff. The haunted attraction has been closed indefinitely.

A Mother Forgets Her Daughter’s Birthday. Read How She Ends Up Spending $600+ For One Barbie Doll.

mother ends up spending over $600 for one barbie after forgetting daughter's b-day

I’m terrible about forgetting other peoples’ birthdays. But realizing I forgot my own daughter’s birthday would be pretty bad. Well, that’s what happens to this mother and it leads to a very unexpected discovery.

One day a mother was driving home when she suddenly realized that it was her daughter’s birthday and she hadn’t bought her anything. Shocked, she notices a shopping mall out of the corner of her eye. Knowing that it was ‘now or never’, she pulls her car through three lanes of traffic, finds a parking spot and runs into the mall.

After a frantic search she finds a toy store, goes inside and attracts the attention of the shop assistant. When asked what she’d like, she simply says: “a Barbie Doll”.

The shop assistant looks at her in a condescending manner and asks, “So Ma’am, which Barbie would that be?”

The mother looks surprised so the assistant continues, “We have Barbie Goes To the Ball at $29.99, Barbie Goes Shopping at $29.99, Barbie Goes Clubbing at $29.99, Barbie Goes To The Gym at $29.99, Cyber Barbie at $29.99, and Divorced Barbie at $629.99.”

The mother can’t help herself and asks, “Why is Divorced Barbie $629.99 when all those other Barbies are selling for $29.99???”

“Well Ma’am, that’s quite obvious!” says the assistant,

“Divorced Barbie comes with Ken’s house, Ken’s car, Ken’s furniture …”

Skillet Blackberry Cobbler

Iron Skillet Blackberry Cobbler
Iron Skillet Blackberry Cobbler

Delicious doesn’t have to be complicated. And it doesn’t have to be made “from scratch.” This to-die-for skillet blackberry cobbler uses simple ingredients (even a refrigerated crust) but tastes as good as any cobbler you’ll ever eat. Since it uses frozen blackberries, it is a dessert that can be enjoyed year round.

This is the cobbler my Great Grandma made and all those after her. It is the best by far. It looks complicated, but it’s not. It looks delectable, and it is!

Bon Appetit, Y’all. ~ Kaybee

Don’t make this in anything but a big black iron skillet ~ it won’t turn out the same!

And note, place iron skillet on baking sheet when baking. Don’t use a skillet that has not been re-seasoned since being used for meat or anything requiring strong herbs or seasonings.

Ingredients for Skillet Blackberry Cobbler

  • 1 box of 2 refrigerated pie crusts (I prefer Pillsbury)
  • 2 (14-16 oz) bags frozen blackberries
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1⅓ cups sugar (for berries)
  • ½ cup flour
  • ¾ cup sugar (for crust)
  • ½ stick butter, cut into small cubes
  • ½ cup water

Instructions for Skillet Blackberry Cobbler

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Unroll one pie crust and place in bottom and up sides of 12 ” cast iron skillet.
  3. Pierce bottom and sides of crust with a fork.
  4. Bake 7 minutes; remove from oven.
  5. Increase oven temp to 400 degrees.
  6. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, 1⅓ cups sugar, and flour.
  7. Put berries in bowl with butter/sugar/flour mixture; toss until berries are covered and mixture is crumbly.
  8. Gently pour berries into skillet; sprinkle water over berries.
  9. Unroll second pie crust over top of berries, sealing at the edges of the skillet.
  10. Scatter the small pieces of butter on top of the crust.
  11. Sprinkle ¾ cups sugar on top of crust.
  12. Cut tiny slits in top of pie crust.
  13. Bake approximately 45 minutes or until bubbly at edges and beginning to brown on top.
  14. (I highly recommend a pie shield to keep edges of crust from burning.)

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Replace Noodles With Zucchini To Make This Deliciously Healthy Zucchini Lasagna

I’m not on any specific diet, but I’m always looking for little ways to make meals healthier. Using zucchini in place of noodles is a great option for folks on diets or who are gluten-free (like my wife). The zucchini removes some of the carbs from this dish but it does not remove the flavor! If you’ve ever had a zucchini dish like this then you know what I’m talking about! Be sure not to skip the first step of grilling the zucchini strips as they can be very watery and this might ruin the whole dish if left un-grilled. Otherwise, just follow these steps and enjoy an amazing, low-carb meal.

Replace Noodles With Zucchini To Make This Deliciously Healthy Zucchini Lasagna

Prep Time: 40 mins
Cook Time: 30 mins
Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins
Makes: 8 servings

Deliciously Healthy Zucchini Lasagna Ingredients

  • 5 medium zucchini (2 lb.)
  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • 1½ teaspoons kosher salt, divided
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper, divided
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lb. 85% lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 (15oz) container whole milk ricotta cheese, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup (packed, 1oz) chopped fresh basil
  • 1⅓ cup no sugar added marinara sauce
  • 8oz part skim mozzarella cheese, shredded

Deliciously Healthy Zucchini Lasagna Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Slice the zucchini lengthwise, into ¼-inch-thick strips, getting 6 slices out of each zucchini. Spray the zucchini slices with olive oil coking spray and sprinkle with ½ teaspoon salt, ⅛ teaspoon black pepper and ½ teaspoon garlic powder. Grill the slices, in batches, 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden and firm – not browned and crisp. Spread on clean kitchen towels to soak up more moisture.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat, about 3 minutes. Add the meat, the minced garlic, ½ teaspoon kosher salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up the meat, until meat is browned, 5-7 minutes. Drain into a colander, then mix in a bowl with 1 cup marinara sauce.
  3. In another bowl, with a fork, mix together the ricotta, eggs, basil, and the remaining salt and pepper.
  4. Assemble the lasagna: Spread ⅓ cup of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9 X 13 baking dish; Top the marinara sauce with a layer of zucchini, then a third of the ricotta mixture, a third of the meat mixture, and a third of the mozzarella cheese; Repeat, arranging the zucchini slices in the opposite direction: zucchini, ⅓ ricotta, ⅓ meat mixture, ⅓ mozzarella; Repeat one last time, adding one extra layer of zucchini: zucchini, ricotta, meat mixture, more zucchini, and mozzarella.
  5. Bake, uncovered, until the cheese is golden, about 30 minutes. You can finish by broiling for 2 minutes on high to brown the cheese, if you wish.
