Man Gets The Shock Of His Life After Reading His Wife’s Diary. This Is Priceless.

0

husband-shocked-wife-diary

This wife loves her husband, and has nothing but good intentions cooking for him, but she clearly does not know enough to do her job right. You know what they say about good intentions…

MONDAY

It’s fun to cook for Bob. Today I made angel food cake. The recipe said beat 12 eggs separately. The neighbors were nice enough to loan me some extra bowls.

TUESDAY

Bob wanted fruit salad for supper. The recipe said serve without dressing. So I didn’t dress. What a surprise when Bob brought a friend home for supper.

WEDNESDAY

A good day for rice. The recipe said wash thoroughly before steaming the rice. It seemed kinda of silly but I took a bath. I can’t say it improved the rice any.

THURSDAY

Today Bob asked for salad again. I tried a new recipe. It said prepare ingredients, then toss on a bed of lettuce one hour before serving. Which is what led up to Bob asking me why I was rolling around in the garden.

FRIDAY

I found an easy recipe for cookies. It said put all ingredients in bowl and beat it. There must have been something wrong with this recipe. When I got back, everything was the same as when I left.

SATURDAY

Bob did the shopping today and brought home a chicken. He asked me to dress it for Sunday (oh boy). For some reason Bob keeps counting to ten.’

SUNDAY

Bob’s folks came to dinner. I wanted to serve roast. All I could find was hamburger. Suddenly I had a flash of genius. I put the hamburger in the oven and set the controls for roast. It still came out hamburger, much to my disappointment.

GOOD NIGHT DEAR DIARY

This has been a very exciting week. I am eager for tomorrow to come so I can try out a new recipe on Bob. If we could just get a bigger oven, I would like to surprise him with Chocolate Moose.

This Preschool Was Put In A Nursing Home. But No One Expected THIS To Happen!

With so many of our older adults experiencing loneliness and isolation, an idea was born to put a preschool within a nursing home.

At Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle, there are more than 400 residents. Statistics show that in the next 25 years the amount of senior citizens will double.

What a brilliant idea to incorporate young people to make friendships with the older creating friendships and learning lessons they would get nowhere else.

The beautiful clip showing the pure joy on the faces of both the young and old show what a perfect environment it is for both. Their interaction is absolutely precious and we hope this idea can spread across our country. The impact of it can likely be more far reaching than we could ever imagine!

He Was Excited For His Friend’s Graduation Speech. But Gets Biggest Shock Ever When He Said This.

Kyle-speech

Do you know a Kyle? Maybe you do, but you didn’t know that he was a Kyle. Maybe you were a Kyle yourself, and you have someone else whom you are friends with whom you look up to. Read Kyle’s story and think, think really hard, if this is familiar to you.

One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, “Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd.”

I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on. As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up, and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes.

My heart went out to him. So I jogged over to him, and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, “Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives.” He looked at me and said, “Hey thanks!” There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.

I helped him pick up his books and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now. I would have never hung out with a private school kid before, but we talked all the way home, and I carried his books.

He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he wanted to play football on Saturday with me and my friends. He said yes.
We hung out all weekend, and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him. And my friends thought the same of him. Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, “Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!” He just laughed and handed me half the books.

Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors, we began to think about college. Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem. He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship.

Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn’t me having to get up there and speak.

On graduation day, I saw Kyle. He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than me and all the girls loved him! Boy, sometimes I was jealous. Today was one of those days. I could see that he was nervous about his speech, so I smacked him on the back and said, “Hey, big guy, you’ll be great!” He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled. “Thanks,” he said.

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began. “Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach — but mostly your friends. I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them. I am going to tell you a story.” I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his mom wouldn’t have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home. He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile. “Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable.”

I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment. I saw his mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile. Not until that moment did I realize its depth.

Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture, you can change a person’s life.

She’s Singing An Ed Sheeran Song, Then HE Walks Onstage Giving Her The Surprise Of Her Life

Thirteen year old Syndey Bourbeau was singing at West Edmonton Mall for a fundraiser supporting the Edmonton Humane Society. She was in the middle of singing Ed Sheerans’s hit “Thinking Out Loud” when Ed himself joined her onstage to join in with a duet.

Sydney said it felt like a dream and though appeared to keep her composure, said she was “freaking out” on the inside especially when he hugged her.

She said he is her favorite male artist and as her heart was beating and she said she just wanted to cry, she did a fabulous job singing right along with him.

No doubt, this is a day she will never forget, and Ed Sheeran’s manager even contacted her and got her front row tickets to Ed’s next concert.

What a fun impromptu concert, not only for Sydney – but for everyone there!

American Idol Winner Left The Crowd Speechless When He Sang The Anthem. At 1:40, I Was Blown Away.

When recent American Idol winner, Nick Fradiani, sang the National Anthem in front of a crowd of thousands of people in our nation’s capitol, we were not expecting him to sing the song like this!

Coming off of his incredible victory on the popular television show, most everyone would expect that this superstar would have an inflated ego and a huge sense of superiority. But when he stepped up onstage, with a group of Marines solemnly standing guard behind him, we were all surprised at the amazing talent he showed off all while maintaining his ever present humble attitude.

While most superstars spend their time talking about themselves, Fradiani kept his demeanor simple, and only “showed off” with his incredible voice. Singing one of the most difficult songs out there, the 14th American Idol victor sung it all “straight.” He left out any little flourish that we’ve grown to expect from other singers, and he sung the whole Anthem with a sense of respect and reserve that our song deserves.

When all was said and done he ended the whole song with a quick bow, and kept up his respectful attitude all throughout. While most singers like to make this song about them, Fradiani showed the nation his true self by performing the Anthem in this perfect fashion.

https://youtu.be/lta32yr-oWs

By making the song about our nation’s flag he showed all of us that he’s a true American, capable of giving our country and its brave soldiers the respect that they deserve. Nothing crazy, nothing unique, just plain old simple singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” He kept it in tune, he kept it in his range, he sang it with passion…and it was absolutely beautiful to listen to.

She Ties A T-Shirt Around Her Wet Hair. When She Takes It Off, Amazing!

0

Do you wish to have beautiful curls, but don’t want to spend the time it takes to curl them with heat? This woman has the perfect solution.

Start with your hair fresh out of the shower. She then adds a product that is a heat protectant spray, though no heat is needs. She adds a couple of other products for shine and to keep the frizz down. She smooths it from the roots down and combs though her hair to evenly distribute.

She then places a t-shirt on the bed and lays her head down on it to wrap the t-shirt around the base of her neck and pulling it around the head using the sleeves to tie down the shirt that will make a turbin. This will protect the curls while sleeping and the hair naturally dries overnight.

When she removes the shirt in the morning, she has beautiful curls that cascade down her back.

She says there may be only slight touch ups to do with the curling iron around the face. What a simple way to have a beautiful hairdo that looks like you spent hours and hours curling it.

Salted-Caramel Six-Layer Chocolate Cake. You Will Be Powerless To Resist This One.

This cake is ridiculous. It’s insane. Honestly, it’s not even fair to all those “other cakes” out there. If you’re not already drooling over this cake, there’s something seriously wrong with you. “Salted Caramel Six-Layer Chocolate Cake?” There are at least four words in the name alone that are drool-worthy. Put them all together in one sky-high dessert, and you will be powerless to resist.

This cake is really all about the caramel. (Don’t ignore the recipe note about the candy thermometer. You really need it for this recipe. You can pick one up for less than ten bucks.) The caramel is creamy, buttery, rich toasted goodness. Resist the urge to eat all of it with a spoon straight from the bowl.

Ingredients for Salted-Caramel Six-Layer Chocolate Cake

FOR THE CAKE

  • Unsalted butter, room temperature, for pans
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for pans
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • 1 tablepoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Coarse salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups low-fat buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons safflower oil
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of warm water

FOR THE CARAMEL

  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • Coarse salt
  • 2 sticks cold unsalted butter, cut into tablespoons
  • 1/4 cup water

FOR THE FROSTING

  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • Coarse salt
  • 1 pound semisweet chocolate, chopped, melted, and cooled
  • Garnish: flaked sea salt, such as Maldon

Directions for Salted-Caramel Six-Layer Chocolate Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make the cake: Butter three 9-inch round cake pans, and dust with flour, tapping out excess. Sift flour, granulated sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and 1 1/2 teaspoons coarse salt into the bowl of a mixer. Beat on low speed until just combined. Raise speed to medium, and add eggs, buttermilk, 1 1/2 cups warm water, oil, and vanilla. Beat until smooth, about 3 minutes.
  2. Divide batter among pans. Bake until cakes are set and a toothpick inserted into the center of each comes out clean, about 35 minutes. Let cool in pans set on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Turn out cakes onto racks, and let cool completely.
  3. Make the caramel: Combine granulated sugar, corn syrup, and 1/4 cup water in a medium saucepan over high heat. Cook, without stirring, until mixture is light to medium amber, about 14 minutes. Remove from heat, and carefully pour in cream (mixture will spatter); stir until smooth. Return to heat, and cook until a candy thermometer reaches 238 degrees, about 2 minutes. Pour caramel into a medium bowl, stir in 1 teaspoon coarse salt, and let cool slightly, about 15 minutes. Stir in butter, 1 tablespoon at a time. Let cool completely.
  4. Meanwhile, make the frosting: Whisk together cocoa and 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons warm water in a bowl until cocoa dissolves. Beat butter, confectioners’ sugar, and a generous pinch of coarse salt in a clean bowl with a mixer on medium speed until pale and fluffy. Gradually beat in melted chocolate and then cocoa mixture until combined. Let stand for 30 minutes before using.
  5. Trim tops of cakes using a serrated knife to create a level surface. Cut each in half horizontally to form 2 layers. Transfer 1 layer to a serving platter, and spread 3/4 cup caramel over top. Top with another cake layer, and repeat with remaining caramel and cake layers, leaving top uncovered. Refrigerate until set, about 1 hour.
  6. Frost top and sides of cake in a swirling motion. Sprinkle with sea salt.

COOKS NOTES

  • If you want to save yourself some trouble, go buy either Hershey’s or Smucker’s caramel sauce in a jar. You will need 3, 14 oz. jars. Put in the fridge to thicken and add salt to taste. The cake comes out fine without the homemade sauce.
  • Cake layers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days (they actually taste better when refrigerated and have a better texture for stacking).
  • When finished, the frosted cake can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
