The Most Shocking Response To A Pet’s Surgery. He Was Not Expecting This.
We’ve all heard the saying that “a dog is man’s best friend.” This story is proof that love for a pet goes both ways.
This man was being questioned why he decided to spend $3000 on surgery for his pet dog and then he explained why money isn’t an issue when it’s about a family member.
I took my dog to the vet today and he has cataracts in both eyes. The initial surgery is going to cost over $3,000 and there was never a question that I was going to pay to have this done. A few people have expressed shock that we are actually going to pay this money “for a dog”.

I know that I’m getting soft in my old age, but no. My dog has been my faithful companion for the last 9 years. He has been by my side when I was just trying to get my career off of the ground, during those long nights when my kid wouldn’t sleep, when an unethical employer shafted me out of $25,000, through the all-nighters in grad school, and simply when I wanted nothing more than to sit on my deck and have a beer.
Nine years is middle aged for a Jack Russell. They easily live 17 years or longer. I don’t know how I could in good conscience let him go blind when I could do something to prevent it. $3,000 isn’t cheap, but he isn’t just “a dog”. He’s my friend. He’s my son. People say that pets become less important when you have your own ‘real’ children. He is more important today than the first day he came home.
I’ve got your back, buddy, and I am going to make you okay again.

Mom Shows Off ‘Flabby’ Bikini Body And Inspires Others To Proudly Do The Same
What an inspirational story this is. Almost everyone faces confidence issues with their bodies, whether it’s because of weight, scars, or whatever else. I’m so happy to see this story and I hope it’s an inspiration for others. Letting go of your insecurities will enable you to feel good about the way you look.
For Rachel Hollis, mother of three and popular blogger, the decision to accept her body seemed to come unexpectedly. After posing for a picture while on vacation, Hollis noticed that her stretch marks and “flabby tummy” were visible. She decided to go ahead and share the picture with her readers along with the powerful message below.
Rachel wrote in the caption for Facebook and Instagram:
I have stretch marks and I wear a bikini. I have a belly that’s permanently flabby from carrying three giant babies and I wear a bikini. My belly button is saggy… (which is something I didn’t even know was possible before!!) and I wear a bikini. I wear a bikini because I’m proud of this body and every mark on it. Those marks prove that I was blessed enough to carry my babies and that flabby tummy means I worked hard to lose what weight I could. I wear a bikini because the only man who’s opinion matters knows what I went through to look this way. That same man says he’s never seen anything sexier than my body, marks and all. They aren’t scars ladies, they’re stripes and you’ve earned them. Flaunt that body with pride! #HollisHoliday
Within mere minutes, the photo had over 100 likes on Facebook, and four days later, it has over 350,000. Other women attached their own bikini pictures to her thread in solidarity. “It grew like wildfire,” Hollis told The Huffington Post, adding, “I am totally humbled and overwhelmed by all the attention and so grateful that it’s lifting up other moms in a positive way. ”
The mom who has three kids, ages 8, 6 and 2, said she hopes her photo post helps people “feel inspired and encouraged to be proud of their bodies no matter what they look like!
Hollis also said the viral experience taught her a valuable lesson about the kind of honesty that appeals to women. “Women want real,” she explained. “They want to see things that are aspirational but it needs to be tempered by the truth. It’s fine to show lives on social media with blown out hair and cute outfits but we need to be honest about the hard stuff as well. The truth makes us feel like we’re not alone … the truth makes us think ‘Me Too! I feel that way too!'”

Sweet Hawaiian Crock-Pot Chicken Recipe
I love easy recipes and this one definitely fits that description. This mouth-watering chicken dinner can be put together in less than 10 minutes of preparation. Just throw it in Crock-Pot, wait a few hours, and enjoy your delicious Sweet Hawaiian Crock-Pot Chicken. I usually fix mine with brown rice, but choose any side you want to go with it.
Ingredients for Sweet Hawaiian Crock-Pot Chicken Recipe
- 2 lb. Chicken tenderloin chunks
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
Directions for Sweet Hawaiian Crock-Pot Chicken Recipe
Just add it all into the Crock-Pot. Cook on Low for 6-8 hours.
And You’re Done!
You can serve it with brown rice or your favorite side and you have a super easy, complete meal!!
This Man Returns To Dangerous Radioactive Zone To Feed The Animals That Everyone Else Left Behind
In 2011, Japan was hit with a terrifying disaster: an earthquake and tsunami. It was one of the most devastating natural disasters of our lifetime. A Nuclear Power Plant – Fukushima Daiichi – was hit especially hard and resulted in the evacuation of a 12.5-mile radius around the plant. Many people were injured and thousands have suffered long-term health effects from the disaster. However, there’s another endangered population that has been largely overlooked – the animals left behind in the 12.5-mile exclusion zone.
There is, however, one man who has taken on the responsibility of saving those animals. His name is Naoto Matsumura. At age 55, the former construction worker actually lives in the radioactive exclusion zone so that he can take care of those animals that were lucky enough to survive. The community knows him as “Guardian of Fukushima’s Animals” because of the work that he’s done. Scrolling down, you can read his story and view his work with the animals of Fukushima.

But he’s the only human that has returned to live in Fukushima’s exclusion zone since then
Although he returned just for his animals, he quickly realized that there were many more in need as well
Matsumura, who is 55 years old, knows that the radiation is harmful, but he “refuses to worry about it”
“They also told me that I wouldn’t get sick for 30 or 40 years. I’ll most likely be dead by then anyway, so I couldn’t care less”
Upon his return, Matsumura discovered that thousands of cows had died locked in barns
He freed many other animals that were left chained up by their evacuated owners
Many of these animals now depend on him for food
Matsumura continues to help despite the government’s demands for him to leave
Having started in 2011, he is still going strong, years later
He depends completely on donations from supporters to work with and feed the animals
His supporters have dubbed him the “Guardian of Fukushima’s Animals”

A friend of mine named Paul received a car from his brother as a birthday present. The next day when Paul came out of his office, a ragtag boy was walking around the shiny new car, admiring it. “Is this your car, Mister?” he asked.
Paul nodded. “My brother gave it to me for my birthday.” The boy was astounded. “You mean your brother gave it to you and it didn’t cost you nothing? Boy, I wish …” He hesitated.
Of course Paul knew what he was going to wish for. He was going to wish he had a brother like that. But what the lad said jarred Paul all the way down to his core.
“I wish,” the boy went on, “that I could be a brother like that.”
Paul looked at the boy in astonishment, then impulsively he added,
“Would you like to take a ride in my car?”
“Oh yes, I’d love that.”
After a short ride, the boy turned and with his eyes aglow, said, “Mister, would you mind driving in front of my house?”

Paul smiled a little. He thought he knew what the lad wanted. He wanted to show his neighbors that he could ride home in a big automobile. But Paul was wrong again. “Will you stop where those two steps are?” the boy asked.
He ran up the steps. Then in a little while Paul heard him coming back, but he was not coming fast. He was carrying his little crippled brother.
He sat him down on the bottom step, then sort of squeezed up against him and pointed to the car.
“There she is, Buddy, just like I told you upstairs. His brother gave it to him for his birthday and it didn’t cost him a cent. And some day I’m gonna give you one just like it … then you can see for yourself all the pretty things that I’ve been trying to tell you about.”
Paul got out and lifted the lad to the front seat of his car. The older brother climbed in beside him and the three of them began a memorable holiday ride.
That day, Paul learned the meaning of: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
