Creating the perfect dinner party requires a combination of just the right ingredients, including the guests, mood music and of course the meal itself. Fortunately there are some great (and not so great) bands who named themselves after food. By inviting them to your next dinner party, you’ll have the perfect guests, music and food combination all in one fell swoop.
Enjoy the rest of the night jamming to tunes and asking Bread why they would name their band Bread. Seriously, Bread?
I’m a huge fan of all apple recipes so when I found this one I just had to make it! First of all it has a creamy cheesecake apple center. I was sold on that just because of my obsession for cheesecake. Then a streusel topping with caramel. Double sold.

Delicious Caramel Apple Streusel Cheesecake Bars!
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly coat the bottom and sides of a 9×13 with non-stick cooking spray (I also add parchment so that I can pick it up out of the pan for easier cutting).
In a mixing bowl, combine the ingredients with a fork until evenly moistened (I just used my food processor).
Pour the crumbs into the pan and, using the bottom of a measuring cup or the smooth bottom of a glass, press the crumbs down into the base and 1-inch up the sides. Refrigerate for 5 minutes.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese on low speed for 1 minute until smooth and free of any lumps. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, and continue to beat slowly until combined. Gradually add sugar and beat until creamy, for 1 to 2 minutes.
Add sour cream, lemon zest, and vanilla. Periodically scrape down the sides of the bowl and the beaters. The batter should be well-mixed but not over beaten. Pour the filling into the crust-lined pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Set a large roasting pan with 1″ water on bottom oven rack, place cheesecake on middle rack. Bake for 30 minutes.
In a bowl combine the apple pie filling and caramel.
Carefully add apple topping to the cheesecake then add the streusel topping (see below) and bake for another 30 minutes.
The cheesecake should still jiggle (it will firm up after chilling), so be careful not to overcook. Turn off the oven, crack the oven door open with a wooden spoon handle and let the cheesecake sit for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack, let cool in pan for 30 more minutes.
Cover with saran wrap and chill in the refrigerator, for at least 4 hours. Cut into bars.
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients.

This is an old one, but it bears repeating. Did you know that you can make ice cream out of one ingredient? I KNOW. You just slice up about two pounds of bananas and freeze them. Beat them in a mixer for about five minutes, or until they start to look like ice cream. Scrape the sides of the bowl, to show you how much banana ice cream you have.
Obviously, it’s not really ice cream because there is no ice in it. Also, no cream. So it’s healthy! You can add cream to it, plus another flavor, to make it a little less healthy and a little more yummy. But if you like bananas…BOOM. And if you don’t like bananas? Try them this way because you might like them all mushed up and frozen.
Here is a very dramatic video on how to make this delicious concoction.
Pro tip? Stick it back in the freezer for a little while after mixing. Brrr.
This is truly heartwarming. Great story of the miracles of animals in action driven by instinct!
