Myles Eckert is an 8 year-old boy. He didn’t plan it, but recently he did something that was so sweet, it’s melting the hearts of thousands online.
Myles’s dad was a soldier. He died while serving our country when Myles was only a few months-old. Myles knows that, so when he saw another person in uniform, he wanted to do something to show his support.
Myles went to lunch at Cracker Barrel with his family. He didn’t know that Lt. Col. Frank Dailey was there as well.
In the parking lot, Myles found a $20 bill lying on the ground. He excitedly picked it up and planned what to do with it…
Then, he saw the Frank in uniform, seated in the restaurant. Myles scribbled out a heartwarming note, rolled the money up in it and handed it to the soldier.
It read: Dear Soldier, My dad was a soldier. He is in heaven now. I found this $20 in the parking lot when we got here. We like to pay it forward in my family. It’s your lucky day! Thank you for your service.
After leaving the lieutenant speechless, Myles went to visit his dad, probably to tell him all about what he did for the soldier. His dad would be proud.
