She Pours Coca-Cola Over Chicken Wings, And The End Result Had Me Drooling

0

Who can resist the temptation of sweet and salty foods? Not me, that’s for sure! In this short video by “Cooking with May Lynn,” she puts this savory combo together in a simple recipe of Coca Cola Chicken Wings.

Start by browning the chicken wings with soy sauce over medium heat. Then add just one cup of Coca Cola after turning the wings over. The next step is covering the pan and letting them simmer for another 15 minutes.

When the wings are done, you’ll have a sticky and delicious way to cook up some wings.

My Mom used to do this with chicken drumsticks! So yummy and sticky. Love, love it and hope you do too.

Gymnasts Look For Their Marks. And Once They Start, I’ve Never Seen Anything Like It.

Perhaps I live more under a rock than most people, but I had never heard of Acrobatic Gymnastics until I found this video. While not yet an Olympic sport, it is growing in popularity and many think this could replace Rhythmic Gymnastics one day. After you watch this group performance at the 2010 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships, you’ll see why!

As with any judged sport, many factors go into the score. In Acrobatic Gymnastics, there are categories for difficulty, execution, and artistry. You can score up to 10 in each ( and sometimes more in difficulty) totaling up to 30. The originality of the Ukraine trio is off the charts, but there is no denying that this trio have little to no deductions and flies really high!

The Russian team ended up leaving the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships with the most metals, but this was their only gold metal.

These dogs just committed some “dog-gone” serious crimes… but they have no idea why they’re being shamed.

Here’s hoping they’ll learn their lesson but it’s hard not to love them regardless.

A Boy At School Snapped Her Bra. What She Did Next Is Gold.

This story will get you fired up, but I’m certain you’ll be satisfied with the outcome. A female student stands up for her rights and refuses to be bullied…and when the Mom arrives – she defends her daughter’s actions perfectly! Women should not have to deal with these situations, so why allow this to happen to children?

Read on below…

I’m an Emergency Room nurse and we’re not allowed to have our phones on us; they’re to be kept in our lockers. A call comes into hospital reception on a private line for me.

Phone: “This is [Teacher] from [School]. There’s been an incident involving [Daughter]. We need you to come in.”

Me: “Is she ill or injured? Can it wait until my shift is over in two hours?”

Phone: “[Daughter] has struck another student. We’ve been trying to call you for 45 minutes. It really is very serious.”

I go to the school and am ushered into the Principal’s office. I see my daughter, her advisor, a male teacher, the principal, a boy with blood around his nose and a red face, and his parents.

Principal: “Mrs. [My Name], how kind of you to FINALLY join us!”

Me: “Yeah, things get busy in the ER. I’ve spent the last hour administering over 40 stitches to a seven-year-old who was beaten by his mother with a metal ladle and then I had to deal with the police regarding the matter. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

(After watching him try to not act embarrassed, he tells me what has happened. The boy had snapped my daughter’s bra and she had punched him in the face… twice. I got the impression they were more angry with my daughter than the boy.)

Me: “Oh. And you want to know if I’m going to press charges against him for sexually assaulting my daughter and against the school for allowing him to do it?”

(They all get jittery when I mention sexual assault and start speaking at once.)

Teacher: “I don’t think it was that serious.”

Advisor: “Let’s not over-react.”

Principal: “I think you’re missing the point.”

(The boy’s mother then starts crying. I turn to my daughter to find out what happened.)

Daughter: “He kept snapping my bra. I asked him to stop but he didn’t, so I told Mr. [Teacher]. He told me to ‘ignore it.’ [Boy] did it again and undid my bra so I hit him. Then he stopped.”

(I turn to the teacher.)

Me: “You let him do this? Why didn’t you stop him? Come over here and let me touch the front of your trousers.”

Teacher: “What?! No!”

Me: “Does that seem inappropriate to you? Why don’t you go and pull on Mrs. [Advisor]’s bra right now. See how fun it is for her. Or on that boy’s mother’s bra. Or mine. You think just because they’re kids it’s fun?”

Principal: “Mrs. [My Name]. With all due respect, [Daughter] still beat another child.”

Me: “No. She defended herself against a sexual attack from another pupil. Look at them; he’s nearly 6 feet and 160 pounds. She’s 5 feet and 84 pounds. He’s a foot taller than her and twice as heavy. How many times should she have let him touch her? If the person who was supposed to help and protect her in a classroom couldn’t be bothered, what should she have done? He pulled her bra so hard it came undone.”

(The boy’s mom is still crying and his dad looks both angry and embarrassed. The teacher won’t make eye contact with me. I look at the principal.)

Me: “I’m taking her home. I think the boy has learned his lesson. And I hope nothing like this ever happens again, not only to [Daughter], but to any other girl at this school. You wouldn’t let him do it to a member of staff so what makes you think he can do it to a girl of 15 is beyond me. I will be reporting this to the school administrators. And if you—” *turning to the boy* “—EVER touch my daughter again I WILL have you arrested for sexual assault. Do you understand me?”

I was so angry, I gathered my daughter’s things and left. I reported it to the School Board, several of whom I know, and was assured it would be strongly dealt with.

My daughter was put into a different class for that subject, away from the teacher and the boy.

Skeletons Hug, Kiss, And Dance For The Crowd. When They Step Out From The Screen? I’m Smiling.

When it all comes down to it in the end, humans are on this earth to love one another, not judge one another. While we are quick to pass judgments based on skin color, age, or physical abilities…it’s still true that love overcomes all. Love doesn’t know prejudice. Love conquers all.

This video is absolutely beautiful! This got me crying and smiling at the same time.

Watch As She Starts Tracing Her Hand, Then See The End Result, It’s Truly Incredible!

Here’s a craft for everyone (including us older kids). And the best part is you don’t have to be an accomplished artist to create this 3d drawing.

Start by simply tracing the outline of your hand on a piece of paper. Then add lines horizontally across the page, but curving over the inside of the hand. The next step is to add in color with markers making a slight rainbow shaped curve until the whole page is filled in. The results turn out stunning.

What a fun activity that turns out really awesome – and something kids can do as well!

This Woman Has Alzheimer’s. The Truth She Relearns Everyday Will Break Your Heart.

This wonderful woman has Alzheimer’s and the truth she relearns each day is heartbreaking.

The truth hurts. It’s a harsh fact that people who are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and their loved ones experience every single day.

This is a brief glimpse of a loving granddaughter who has been caring for her grandmother for the past two years.

Many thanks to grandmother Nora Jo and her family for revealing what it really means to have Alzheimer disease.

He Catches His Wife Crying In The Laundry Room. What He Does For Her Is Wondrous

The story is absolutely beautiful. It made me cry. This is unconditional love. We love a person even when he or she is incomplete. Because love is complete. Perfect love casts out fear.

Love is more than a feeling. It is action. We don’t ask back for rewards. We constantly give, hoping the person we love is loved. When both truly love each other, it is beyond beautiful. That’s what make this story so inspiring and touching.

I am simply overwhelmed with emotions. So beautiful. Watch this and tell me you did not cry!

People Were Feeling Sorry For This Couple, But What They Did Next Shocked Everyone.

senior couple share everything

I remember my Grandparents always talking about life during the Great Depression. There were constant sacrifices as people had to “make due” and share what little you had. I can appreciate that spirit but this one is going a bit too far for me LOL…

An elderly couple walk into a fast food restaurant. They order one hamburger, one order of fries and one drink.

The old man unwraps the plain hamburger and carefully cuts it in half. He places one half in front of his wife. He then carefully counts out the fries, dividing them into two piles and neatly placing one pile in front of his wife. He takes a sip of the drink, his wife takes a sip and then sets the cup down between them. As he begins to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people around them keep looking over and whispering “That poor old couple — all they can afford is one meal for the two of them.”

As the man begins to eat his fries a young man comes to the table. He politely offers to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man replies that they’re just fine — they’re just used to sharing everything.

The surrounding people noticed the little old lady hadn’t eaten a bite. She sits there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink.

Again the young man comes over and begs them to let him buy another meal for them.

This time the old woman says “No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything.”

As the old man finishes and was wipes his face neatly with the napkin, the young man again comes over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food and asks “May I ask what is it you are waiting for?”

The old woman answers… “THE TEETH.”

A Man Is Trapped In A Burning House. But This Dad Has A Plan That Is Downright Crazy!

townhouse-fire

Fire invokes a primal fear in most people, including me. Heck, I’ll even freak out when my marshmallow catches fire and turns into a lump of coal on my stick. But the Dad in this story thinks that running into a burning building was just the right thing to do and nothing all that special. I think you’ll agree, he’s pretty badass…read on…

This is a story about my Father.

I’m awakened by my Mom around 1:30 am. “Get up, there’s a fire, we have to go outside.” she says. I’m freaking out but I don’t smell smoke. I assemble outside with my mother and younger brother and sister. Down the street a townhouse in the same row as ours is engulfed in flames.

I don’t see my Father around so I ask my Mom.

“He went to see if he could help.” she says. I can hear the nervousness in her voice, my Father is known to be rather bold. The story as it was told to me as an adult goes like this:

My Father arrives after the fire department and learns that a man is alive inside, possibly lost. The fire department won’t go in after the man because they do not feel that it is safe yet. My Dad is like, “Screw that.” and (clad in only his long-johns) breaks a window and enters the home. He finds the man at the top of the stairs, badly burned and unable to walk. He carries the man down the stairs and out the front door. The firemen treat my dad briefly for smoke inhalation and the cops take a statement.

The man he carried from the house died after a week in the hospital, but his family was grateful that he had a chance to say goodbye. The county awarded my dad a plaque and the cable company gave us free cable for a year. He never talks about it and it was so long ago that no one he knows or is aware that it ever happened.

About a week ago my 5 year old son asked me if superheroes were real. I told him the story of the day his Grandfather was a superhero and I almost couldn’t finish. I hope that one day my son will feel that kind of pride in me.

My Dad pulled a guy from a burning building and no one really knows.
